Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate
Description
The Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate provides research and evidence-based perspectives on supporting and adopting a plant-based diet. The program investigates how you achieve the nutrients you need for optimum health and the management and prevention of disease while implementing a plant-based diet.
Examine the historical and contemporary perspectives and the impact of plant-based diets on individuals and the planet. Delve into the nutritional composition of plant-based diets, their functional components, and their ability to meet individual needs throughout the lifespan, in relation to health and disease prevention.
By participating in the program you will be able to implement a plant-based diet, provide information to others, and address common concerns in starting and following a plant-based diet.
This is an online, asynchronous program of short courses. Each course is four weeks in length and consists of 20 hours of coursework.
