English (3 Year)
Description
When you study English at Queen's, you'll learn to read perceptively, analyze clearly, and above all, communicate effectively. Students will explore writers such as Shakespeare, Austen, and Brontë, but will also engage with current forms, such as graphic novels and works by contemporary writers.
This introductory-level course focuses on the key areas that impact the adoption of equity, diversity, and inclusion practices in the workplace. Students will learn the theoretical and practical foundation needed to better understand how their own experiences shape their ability to lead across differences, how to influence others on the merits of equity, diversity, and inclusion, and how to create inclusive organizational strategies, programs, and systems that benefit everyone.
The Bachelor of English program plan consists of 90.0 units. 60.0 of these units are electives which can be taken from any subject, at any level and in any order, as long you have (or obtain) the prerequisites for any 200 or 300-level courses. The other 30.0 units must be taken as described below.
