Personal Support Worker (LEAP)

Description

The LEAP PSW program is delivered in an online accelerated format, however all of the required courses and content from the full-time Personal Support Worker program are still covered.

2 weeks of full-time, online, synchronous coursework. During the student participant's course work, the LTC home will backfill their work position to support their ability to the online training.

Students will be assigned to a preceptor from their LTC home prior to beginning their clinical placement.
10 weeks of paid, on-site, experiential training through a clinical placement in the LTC home in which the student participant is currently employed. their assigned preceptor will oversee the work of the student in the clinical placement portion of the LEAP.

There will be three cohorts of 60 students each, beginning May, July and October.
