PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Human Resources Management program is a one-year post-grad program designed for university and college graduates looking to specialize their skills in human resources. This program provides you with functional knowledge in core areas of human resources: recruitment and selection, training and development, human resources planning, occupational health and safety, organizational behaviour, finance and accounting, principles in human resources management, compensation and benefits, and labour relations.
YOUR LEARNING EXPERIENCE
Human Resources Management is a one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate program designed for university or college graduates, providing them with functional knowledge in core areas of human resources. Beyond the core curriculum, the program also offers courses in software, Canadian employment law, management of strategic HR projects and professional communications.
You’ll also have the opportunity to apply to further develop your consulting skills with the option of substituting two courses for the intensive community consultancy program, working with live clients to solve real problems.
This program includes all nine credits required for the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designations from the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA).
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
A Two- or Three-Year College Diploma, or a Degree
(Note: minimum 'C+' average or cumulative 2.5 GPA)
OR
Acceptable combination of related work experience and post-secondary education as judged by the College*
OR
Five years of work experience in the human resources field as judged by the College to be equivalent*
