Description

Get your start in accounting with a Foundations for Accounting Certificate

Are you ready to become a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)? We’re excited to help you start your journey with some must-have accounting courses. The Chang School has created a four-part Certificate in Accounting Series to give you everything you need to pursue that CPA designation.

Our Accounting Certificate Series offers in-depth skills training and hands-on experience to help you master those CPA enabling competencies and give you the best possible start in your accounting certification and CPA career. (Not sure if you want to go the CPA route quite yet? This certificate will set you up for success in any career that requires in-depth accounting knowledge.)

First up is Level 1: Certificate in Foundations for Accounting.

These accounting courses teach you all the basics to get started in accounting. You’ll learn the foundations of accounting, business law, economics, and applied statistics for business.

Looking for online accounting courses? Good news: you can also take all our accounting courses online – with in-person exams – so you can complete the certificate at your own pace, in a timeframe that works with your current schedule.

Our accounting program prioritizes collaboration, so once you complete your accounting certificate, you’ll have a robust professional network of advisors, staff, instructors, and fellow learners in place who can provide valuable support as you transition into new accounting roles.

After you’ve finished that first accounting certificate, the next accounting certificates in our series include:

Level 2: Certificate in Intermediate Accounting I
Level 3: Certificate in Intermediate Accounting II
Level 4: Certificate in Advanced Accounting

The accounting courses in the Certificate in Foundations for Accounting qualify as preparatory courses for the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP). Once you complete all four accounting certificates, you can apply for the CPA PEP. And, after you complete the PEP, you’ll be eligible to write the three-day Common Final Examination (CFE) exam.

We make the road to getting your CPA a little smoother – so let’s get started today.
