This six-course, fully-online program is offered in cooperation with Toronto Metropolitan University’s School of Image Arts. It is the only part-time program in Canada that offers a combination of applied creative and digital courses at the university degree-credit level.

Who Should Take This Certificate?
  • Individuals looking to gain a solid foundation for further study at the undergraduate or graduate level
  • Working professionals looking to make a career change to a rapidly growing creative field
  • Visual artists looking to enhance their work in film, photography, fine art, graphic design, or journalism to expand their audience
This certificate program offers students the opportunity to apply some or all of the credit earned through the certificate as transfer credits to a BFA in Image Arts at Toronto Metropolitan or at other universities (subject to admission and the requirements of the degree to which you are applying).
 
Admission Criteria:

Recommended:
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
-With 6 Grade 12 U or M credits
-With a minimum average of 60 percent  OR
  • Mature student status
 
Certificate Requirements:
  • 2 required courses
  • 4 electives
  • Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 1.67+
To graduate, you must successfully complete, within your official time span, the requirements from the year you registered in the program.
