Program Overview:
 
Students who have completed the two-year accounting diploma program can continue for a third year to earn an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in business administration in accounting. This program utilizes a case-based approach across the curriculum to expose students to real-life scenarios to develop critical thinking skills. Many employment opportunities are available in industry, public accounting and government where graduates will work in a variety of roles.
 
Your Learning Experience:

Students who have completed the two-year accounting diploma program can continue for a third year to earn an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in business administration in accounting.
 
This program utilizes a case-based approach across the curriculum to expose students to real-life scenarios to develop critical thinking skills. Many employment opportunities are available in industry, public accounting and government where graduates will work in a variety of roles.

Students who complete this advanced accounting program will be eligible for exemptions from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) papers F1, F4 and F6.ACCA Accredited Programme
Further, graduates wishing to pursue the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation may path into Fanshawe’s Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) Degree, a CPA accredited program.
 
Admission Requirements:
  • Business - Accounting Ontario College Diploma from Fanshawe College with a minimum overall average of 'C+' (2.5 cumulative GPA) and a 'B' in ACCT-3036, ACCT-3050, ACCT-3022, FINA-3043, FINA-3044 and MATH-1045 OR
  • An equivalent qualification from another institution as judged by the College with a minimum overall average of 'C+' (2.5 cumulative GPA) and a 'B' in courses that are equivalent to the courses listed above  OR
  • A combination of relevant education and work experience in a related field as judged by the College to be equivalent to the above
