Research Proposal Seminar
Description
This seminar course is intended for students who wish to complete an M.A. thesis or M.Ed. project. By the end of the course, students will have designed a robust research proposal and plan for pursuing their M.A. thesis or M.Ed. project. This course will support students as they develop comprehensive strategies for locating and assessing scholarly sources and designing the foundational elements of their thesis or project. Students will establish meaningful and manageable research questions for investigation, create a compelling proposal introduction, including relevant theoretical and/or conceptual frameworks, write a thoughtful, well-organized literature review, explore and identify applicable research methodologies, and create appropriate data collection tools (if applicable). Students planning to collect original data for their thesis or project will complete research ethics board training.
