Public Relations Strategies I

In this course, students will develop and strengthen analytical, problem-solving, planning, creative, and overall communication skills. You will explore, analyze, discuss and resolve various organizational communications issues as you develop and craft a communications plan using a systematic, proven approach that involves researching and analyzing the situation, the organization, and its publics. Creating the plan will involve developing communications goals, objectives, and messages and choosing appropriate and effective strategies and tactics to achieve the stated goals and objectives. Following this course, students will work in teams to develop a strategic communications plan for an organization in the community.
