Pathophysiology for Nurses

Our Pathophysiology for Nurses course prepares RPN students to integrate and apply pathophysiological concepts in clinical practice. Explore the basic biochemistry of nutrition (including energy requirements, vitamins, carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and water) to provide the knowledge that supports and facilitates the study of nutrition related to pathologies. Study the relevant health problems affecting clients with complex illnesses, the distribution of health states, risk factors, etiology, pathophysiology and interprofessional interventions relating to complex illnesses.  You will have the most success in this course if you have already completed our NURS 1035 Nursing in Ontario course or our NURS 1061 Nursing in Ontario (Online) course and our NURS 1107 Scholarly Writing in Nursing course or our NURS 1114 Scholarly Writing in Nursing (Online) course before you start this course.
