Description
Get a basic working knowledge of workplace health and safety issues, legislation, and major programs in this 13-week course. You'll learn how to develop, manage and maintain policies and programs that fit changing needs in occupational health and safety. You'll learn basic managerial issues, including the employer's legal, ethical and strategic reasons for ensuring employee health and safety. Other topics include accident prevention, lateness and absenteeism, physical and mental health policies, employee assistance programs (EAPs), and wellness programs.
