Description
This course will give you the knowledge, skills and tools to provide guidance and leadership in a collective bargaining environment. To manage human resources in a unionized environment, you need to understand how both unionized and non-unionized workers are governed. You'll learn about the individual employment relationship; employment, human rights and collective bargaining legislation; the unionization process; the collective agreement; bargaining structures and negotiation; strikes and lockouts; grievances and dispute resolution; and public sector labour relations.
