Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) Training

Description

This training program is delivered online and is based on the Registered Behavior Technician Task List published by the Behaviour Analysts Certification Board and is designed to meet the 40-hour training requirement for the RBT credential. The program is offered independently of the BACB.

The training course provides activities and quizzes to help you learn the material. Online delivery provides you with the flexibility to move through the material at your own pace and participate in online discussions with your peers and instructors.

The four options available to you to complete this training are described below. Please read through these carefully to determine the best option for you. There are specific requirements or prerequisites required for each option. All documentation required to register for this program must be submitted to:

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBTTM) is a paraprofessional who practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA, BCaBA, or FL-CBA. The RBT is primarily responsible for the direct implementation of behavior-analytic services. The RBT credential requires applicants to meet minimum age and education standards, obtain 40 hours of acceptable training, successfully complete a competency assessment, obtain a criminal background check and pass the RBT examination administered by BACB.

Courses Offered:

Option 1: Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) Training Courses (By selecting and paying for this option you are registering for the 40 hour RBT Training course only.)

Option 2: Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) Competency Assessment (By selecting and paying for this option you are registering for the RBT Competency assessment only. You may only choose this option if you have already completed a 40 hour RBT training program.)

Option 3: Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) Training & Competency Assessment (Combined)
(By selecting and paying for this option you are registering for the combined 40 hours RBT Training Course and the Competency Assessment.)

Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) Fast Track
(By selecting and paying for this option you are registering for the RBT Fast Track option. This option exists for those who completed training in ABA that covers all the RBT task list, was taught by a BCBA or BCaBA, and was completed within 180 days. For example, students who have taken the Autism & Behavioural Science Graduate Certificate, and received their instruction from BCBA or BCaBA instructors, meet these criteria. You will show your knowledge by completing the module quizzes and then a competency assessment will follow).
