The Ontario Internationally Educated Nurses Course Consortium has developed a hybrid model competency-bridging program of study to help prepare Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) to launch their registered nursing careers in Ontario.

All of the theory courses are online. The program of study covers all entry to practice competencies. The simulation labs and clinical placements will be completed in person. All students are required to complete: 1) Orientation Module; 2) Registered Nurse as Communicator; and 3) Transition to Professional Practice course. Students only need to complete the competency-based courses required to fulfill their competency gaps. Students will be informed about the competency-based courses they are required to complete in their acceptance letters. The required courses page also lists which courses are required based on competency gaps.
