OVERVIEW
Program Description
This program is designed for beginners to the language and will help you grow your communications skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) so that you can communicate in French with confidence. Graduates can use their new skills in the French language to further their careers in communications, marketing, administration, sales, customer relations, etc. This is a fully online program, offered through OntarioLearn, with an asynchronous delivery.
Once all courses are complete, we would expect a level 8 for the Niveaux de Competence Linguistique Canadiens (NCLC). NCLC are the national standards for describing, measuring and recognizing French language proficiency of adult immigrants to Canada.
Notice of Change: Effective May 2022, French Ecrit (FREN-5005) is no longer a program requirement. The last offering of this course will be September 2023. Any student who began the program prior to May 2022 will be required to complete the Ecrit course, by the last offering date.
