Description
Learn to build and maintain a website using WordPress the most used Content Management System (CMS) in the world. Students will understand and apply web design principles that will support their ability to service small and medium sized business clients. Select the best hosting solution and domain name for a website. Evaluate recommend and apply themes plugins widgets content architecture user experience and other solutions. Analyze client needs and apply appropriate solutions within a WordPress environment. Understand the basic concepts of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM). Implement security and backup strategies and learn how to use WordPress as a complete e-commerce platform.Pre-requisites: Foundational knowledge of web browsing and navigation Basic knowledge of creating saving and uploading computer files (Windows/MacOS) Basic understanding of HTML is an asset but not required.
