Traditional Healing, Learning, and Teaching
Description
Students will begin to explore the importance of traditional medicine, the teaching circle, and the medicine wheel to personal growth, development, and healing and their value emphasized. Students will learn traditional teachings. Elements of traditional healing will be presented, discussed, and demonstrated. Group dynamics and group processes will be introduced through both a theoretical and experiential examination of topics such as leadership, conflict resolution, diversity, member roles, and decision making. Learners will develop skills and knowledge to work effectively and cooperatively in group settings.
