The Sociology of Youth
Description
This upper-level seminar will examine theories, practices and research in the sociology of children and youth. Students interested in the education and/or health of children and adolescents will find this course particularly relevant. The course will allow students to explore and critique the ways in which societies relate to, treat, teach and communicate with children and youth. Particular attention will be paid to understanding contemporary cultures of childhood and youth.
