Technical Math (ACE)
Description
This course builds on and expands the fundamental algebraic skills mastered in ACE Core Math. The course aims to teach students the necessary mathematical skills to prepare for technical/math-focused postsecondary college programs. After successfully completing the learning outcomes, students can use their skills to solve applied problems involving linear/polynomial/rational/exponential expressions and equations, logarithmic functions, radical and complex numbers, trigonometry, measurement and geometry. The course will include the use of both calculators and technology-specific software. This course meets the math requirement for many Ontario college certificate and diploma programs. Note that it is the student's responsibility to research and verify college program admission requirements.
