Supportive Care Theory I
Description
This course is designed to provide the learner with information that will enable them to provide support to the consumer/client in their role as a Personal Support Worker. The learner will be introduced to the basic concepts of care and assessment that guide their role as a member of an interprofessional team. The learner will enhance their knowledge of the nursing process, verbal reporting and documentation utilizing appropriate medical terminology. Also included in this course are topics such as: infection control, nutrition, health, wellness and disability.
