Special Event Planning

This course introduces students to the principles, concepts and steps involved in planning and executing successful events. Students will examine the unique characteristics of a variety of event categories such as: festivals, fundraisers, entertainment, socials, celebrations, conferences and sporting, and will define the target audience, event objectives and economic impacts of each. Students will also be involved in various special events throughout the semester.
