Sociology of Food & Nutrition
Description
An examination of the relationships between individual bodies and the social body to food, health, and nutrition through the critical sociology of health and dietetics perspectives. We will examine socio-historical accounts of public health nutrition and health promotion, environmental nutrition and nutritionism in relation to socio-cultural constructions of risk, bodies, and dietary policies and practices.
