Schedule and Cost Management
Description
This course provides students with the knowledge and tools required to evolve a Work Breakdown Structure into a project schedule. Students learn techniques for properly sequencing project tasks, identifying the project's critical path as well as calculating the amount of positive or negative float within the project schedule. Students gain a solid foundation in techniques used to estimate the duration and costs associated with all work packages comprising the project schedule. Students also learn how to monitor whether a project is on schedule and on budget by calculating Earned Value. Students also obtain hands-on experience in using Microsoft Project to develop and track a project budget and schedule.
