Qualitative Methods
Description
Examines the qualitative traditions of sociological research and links the epistemological underpinnings of research to practical techniques. A variety of data collection techniques are examined and compared including participant and non-participant approaches to data gathering. The development and administration of interviews are discussed along with content analysis and other semantic analysis approaches.
