Programs and Issues in Indigenous Social Work Practice

This course investigates issues and concerns relevant to the practice of social work in Indigenous communities, including community development and social change. Students explore and design various alternative programs to promote healthy holistic lifestyles. Emphasis is placed on strategies that are consistent with traditional values and cultural continuity through Indigenous empowerment.
