Procurement Management
Description
This course provides students with an understanding of the process of construction procurement management including the growing trend of outsourcing. It outlines the work involved in planning procurements for construction projects including determining the type of contract to use along with preparing a project procurement plan, statement of work, and source selection criteria. The process of controlling procurements by managing relationships, monitoring contract performance and ensuring Dispute Resolution mechanisms. The course also addresses risk management as applied to contract selection, administration, transportation and quality of goods and services procured. Inventory Analysis and Transportation Logistics are employed using concepts of probability and statistics to mitigate risk in the procurement process.
