Principles of Renewable Energy

Description

Renewable energy technologies are critical in our efforts to address climate change, and achieve social development goals. In this course, you’ll investigate the principal types of renewable energy – including solar, wind, tidal, and biofuels – and their place in the global market. Drawing on cases studies from a range of settings, you’ll explore historical and technological challenges, and examine their environmental impacts. You’ll emerge better able to assess the strengths and weaknesses of renewable energy technologies in different contexts, and at different scales.
