Principles of Accounting and Finance
Description
This course features a broad view of managerial accounting, introducing various costing systems, cost behaviour patterns, cost structures, budgeting systems, and variances. It employs the use of accounting for the evaluation of product, managerial, and divisional performance to help understand what accounting can do for decision makers. There is an emphasis on the strategic importance of aligning accounting systems with firm technologies and goals. It also covers financial management and the financial environment as well as risk and rates of return.
