Physics (ACE)
Description
This is a rigorous introduction to physics, enabling students to develop a foundation in the fundamental concepts of physics. The student will conceptually and quantitatively study and explore the topics of forces and motion, energy and simple machines, waves, sound, light, and optics, electricity and magnetism, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems. The emphasis will be on understanding the underlying physical concepts and principles and applying them to solving quantitative problems related to various practical applications. This course helps students hone their analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills needed for academic and professional success. This course meets the physics requirement for most Ontario college certificate and diploma programs. Note that it is the student's responsibility to research and verify college program admission requirements.
