Orofacial Anatomy I
Description
The Permanent and Primary dentition is studied collectively and individually in terms of physical characteristics, function, anchorage, and their relationship to each other. Oral anatomical landmarks, the relationship between structure and function of bones, oral soft tissues, periodontium, tooth morphology and function; and occlusion are emphasized. Oral anatomy and supporting structures of the teeth will be identified to facilitate the student's introductory knowledge of normal and abnormal conditions found in the oral cavity in relation to orofacial structures specifically.
