Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
Description
Mindfulness involves cultivating new relationships with our experiences, thoughts and emotions through paying attention intentionally and non-judgmentally. Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) are now used in clinical settings to help patients/clients cope better with chronic illness, pain, depression, anxiety and stress.
This four-day workshop series will help participants develop and/or deepen their own daily mindfulness meditation practice, and will help them to practice the skills needed to lead and adapt mindfulness-based therapies in groups and with individuals.
Note: Check with the institution regarding start/end dates, prices, and delivery method. These may vary according to program, section, and/or semester.
