Mindfulness-Based Chronic Pain Management™ Facilitation: Curriculum Training Intensive

Description

This course allows for the focused study of the content of the MBCPM program using the trademarked curriculum. In the in-class version participants spend 1 day in a Silent Meditation Intensive, led by the facilitator rotating through various formal practices, followed by a debrief at end of day. In the online version, one class will be conducted in silence. The 3 modules of the course are experienced and showcased: 1) Building resilience strategies; creating a safe space; 2) Developing self-awareness and self care; 3) Exploring innate behaviours and relationships with self and others.  And exploring impact of illness and pain on core self through contemplative creativity. The connection to pain becomes evident as the course unfolds. Key topics and core concepts are explored from the perspective of a vulnerable, in-pain, and/or chronically stressed population. The language of delivery of the facilitation and enquiry is noted and practiced, with some opportunity to practice delivery of formal practices. Trauma-informed (TI) and Trauma-sensitive (TS) facilitation is emphasized
