Management Accounting-Adv
Description
This advanced course provides students with a conceptual understanding of the design and use of management accounting information. The class explores tools and techniques that enable effective managerial decisions and learns the role and ethical responsibility of the management accountant in the process of decision making. The course builds on an earlier introduction to Management Accounting and introduces new topics including, design and implementation of effective management control systems, strategic decision making, customer profitability analysis, quality and time as competitive tools in cost management, supply-chain analysis, agency theory and transfer pricing, performance measures and the balanced scorecard, and emerging issues.
