MA Thesis: Part 1
Description
The thesis is the major component of the Master of Arts program and is carried out under the direction of the student?s supervisor or supervisory committee. The thesis may involve an investigation which is fundamental in nature or applied and may incorporate elements of analysis, design, and development. Through the thesis, candidates are expected to give evidence of competence in research and a sound understanding of the area of specialization involved. Students will be expected to present a formal paper and oral defence upon completion of their thesis courses.
