Introduction to Quantity Surveying
Description
Our Introduction to Quantity Surveying course teaches you to quantify construction work in a structured way using a standard method of measurement and industry terminology. This quantity surveying course focuses on the types of estimates, the estimating process, the methods of measurement, the required skills and the critical role of the quantity surveyor in the design and construction process. Course Accreditation: This is a Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) accredited course (subject #103) and a Gold Seal accredited course (4 credits). Learn more about these accreditations by checking out our Electrical Estimating Certificate (or our Mechanical Estimating Certificate) and our Canadian Construction Association Gold Seal Credit Courses. Exam: Final exams for all Estimating and Quantity Surveying Online Anytime courses and some Construction Studies Online Anytime courses are held on the same date in each term. If you are planning to register for more than one course in the same term, email cetech_construct@georgebrown.ca before you register. The final exam for this course is held at our Casa Loma Campus in Toronto, Ontario. If you live too far away to come to that campus (200 km or more), email cetech_construct@georgebrown.ca after you register to arrange to have your exam supervised by an approved test centre.
