Introduction to Medical Terminology and Health Professions
Description
In this course, students will analyze the structure of medical terms related to anatomy, physiology, basic pathologies, and diagnostic tests for body systems. Students will apply the correct spelling and usage of terms to various scenarios in medical professions. Students will explore many aspects of various health science professions through independent research, group activities, case studies and a series of presentations from professionals in each area of specialization. Students will reflect on their skills and attributes to guide their future career pathways.
