Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development

This intensive hands-on practical course is designed to provide the entrepreneur with the basic, practical procedures and tools that are required when strategically planning to enter international markets. The course is designed in such a way that it assists students in the commencement process of international trade and areas directly linked to it. Emphasis is on entrepreneurial activities, including sourcing, purchasing from Canadian sources (i.e. manufacturers, export merchants, trading houses), and placing products in strategic international markets. The importing and exporting processes will be emphasized, as will government initiatives and programs that exist to support there endeavours in international business.
