Illustration Workshop

Building on image development, rendering and ideation skills learned in previous classes, students explore various techniques of contemporary illustration. Through completing a series of illustrations, students will get the opportunity to develop a personal style. Students apply all stages of the design process from initial sketches to presentation. They are encouraged to produce work in both traditional and digital media and develop multidisciplinary problem-solving. Students learn to analyze illustration in a social/ cultural context. Course content is delivered through lectures, assignments, discussions and critiques. The course includes visual, verbal and written components.
