Hospital Unit Administration 1
Description
In this course students will be introduced to the role and responsibilities of the health office administrator working in a variety of hospital units. The organizational structure, patient care units and general departments of hospitals will be discussed, as well as communication devices, administrative processes and documentation specific to the hospital setting. Students will be introduced to the hospital patient care record, admission, transfer, discharge, health information management and risk management procedures common to the hospital setting.
