Group Work and Mutual Aid
Description
This course will explore theories and models of group intervention, with emphasis on the developmental stages of groups and their application to work in addiction settings. Group dynamics, processes, and goals will be explored. An exploration of mutual aid and its function in the addiction field will include comparing and contrasting professionally led with peer-facilitated group processes.
