Fundamentals of Health Research Methodology
Description
This online course provides a broad overview of health research methodology. It covers topics related to fundamentals of health research design, research ethics and outcome measurement; essential methodology for randomized controlled trials (RCTs), observational studies, systematic reviews, and qualitative studies; critical appraisal; fundamentals of statistics, developing and writing a research proposal and a manuscript; and knowledge translation. Students who successfully complete this course will have some basic knowledge and skills related to health research methodology, and will be capable of critically appraising literature and conducting some basic design for a clinical study, e.g., a RCT, observational study, qualitative study, or systematic review.
