Exceptionalities: High Incidence
Description
This course is part one in a two-part series that introduces students to the characteristics of children and adolescents with diverse needs. Misconceptions definitions types characteristics causes and treatments for students with learning disabilities behaviour exceptionalities and speech and language disorders are addressed. Strategies that will lead to student progress and support the whole child are the focus of the course. Students will develop an understanding of current related issues. Appropriate assistive technology is explored.
