Essentials of Building Mathematics

This course is designed to provide a solid mathematical background for students entering studies in the fields of carpentry, construction, furniture and cabinetmaking and woodworking. The course covers arithmetic operations, mensuration, simple equation, geometry, and their associated applications. Metric and British systems and their conversions will be addressed, as well as the identification and measure of geometric angles, and basic right-angle triangles.
