Epidemiology

Students explore the fundamental concepts of epidemiology including the determinants and distribution of disease, measurements of disease and disease impact, research study design, interpreting biostatistics, and criteria for establishing causation. Upon this foundation, students examine and apply epidemiological knowledge to the analysis, surveillance, outbreak investigation, prevention and control of institutional infection.
