Emergency Nursing - Adult and Older Adult
Description
Adult and Older Adult Emergencies is a core course in the ER nursing certificate program. It is a recommended prerequisite for all other ER Certificate Program courses. Concepts explored in EMGY 503 include common medical/surgical emergencies seen in the emergency department. This includes discussion surrounding understanding the pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, nursing interventions, medical management and treatment of neurological, EENT, infectious disease, toxicology, respiratory, toxicological, cardiovascular, shock, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, hematological, musculoskeletal and integumentary emergencies.
