Electro Pneumatics and Hydraulics Micro-Credential

Description

This course is delivered in a hybrid format combining virtual and in-person learning opportunities. Learners will have from May 16 - May 27, 2022 to complete the self-paced virtual course work. Upon completion of the course work, learners will then participate in hands-on instructor-led sessions with a choice of attending in-person at our North Campus on May 21-22, 2022 or May 28-29, 2022. Times and location will be available prior to the course starting. This course covers the basics of pneumatic and hydraulic control circuits in a complex mechatronic system. The course explains the functions and properties of components based on physical principles, and the roles they play within the system. This course also provides skills to understand technical documentation such as data sheets, circuit diagrams, displacement, step diagrams and function charts. You will learn troubleshooting strategies to identify, localize and (where possible) correct malfunctions. Preventive maintenance of pneumatic and hydraulic components as well as safety issues within the system are also discussed.
