Document Management Technology

This course provides an introduction to electronic documents, imaging, and micrographic technology. Students will explore how these technologies can be applied to records management, short and long-term storage, and retrieval for active and inactive documents. Some topics include metadata, the life expectancy of electronic storage media, secure storage media, migration, and image file formats.
