Diverse Populations
Description
This course introduces the dental assisting student to diverse populations they may incur in the dental office. Emphasis is placed on management of the pediatric client during dental care procedures. The Dental assistant student will also gain understanding of the unique challenges that special needs, seniors and culturally diverse individuals may face regarding dental care. The role of the Dental Assistant in a public health setting will also be discussed.
