Dental Records
Description
This subject provides the opportunity for the Level II dental assistant to learn the ethical and legal issues of the profession and reference and utilize a dental assistant's code of ethics. This subject also addresses the components of a client's record, with special emphasis on the medical history, the paper charting of oral conditions identified by the dentist and accurate documentation. This subject also examines accessing drug reference sources, dispensing and storage and the recognition, basic response and documenting of common dental office emergencies.
