Decontamination Principles & Procedures

This course introduces students to the principles of decontamination including instrument/equipment disassembly, various methods of cleaning/disinfecting, use of decontamination equipment (automated), proper workflow, standard precautions, and the safe handling of sharps and medical bio-hazardous waste materials.
